Russia is set to introduce a new facial recognition payment system by 2025, aiming to revolutionize digital payments and enhance the country's payment technology. The system, developed by Sber and NSPK, will begin construction in the second half of this year. This initiative is expected to impact cryptocurrency usage and will be implemented nationwide, starting with Moscow's Metro in 2024. Approximately two million payment terminals are planned across various regions.
